Fierce Woman: Roni Walters – October’s Featured Poet

Along with the Watts Prophets, Rollins & Wanda Coleman, Roni Walters has been representing West Coast Poetry with righteousness for years & years.. Long before HBO’s Def Poetry Jam, Slam & Saul Williams, Roni was hosting poetry events, since the '90's.. Her example has made her a leader & forerunner for many young poets.. Her influence has stretched to her performing at over 100 colleges around the country..
