The reach of a Fathom

image

17 year old male photographer. //Untitled// Inbetween the eyes of hatred/ In the midst of a peaceful breath/ Lies the ever growing nothing/ Creating the impossible test// Far beyond the rolling thunder/ And ahead of the ruthless fist/ Lies the ever growing nothing/ In an ever lasting rest// Pick apart the words of sinners/ Peal away the skin within/ Pick up the rose that whithers/ Cease... and don't begin/ -Elias C. McConnell

For the "out of reach" photo.
//beyond a fathom//
::::Fathom, To reach or penetrate with the mind; to get to the bottom of;
To master; to comprehend thoroughly::::

In the darkness I can feel it
I reach out to grasp it
It's not there, it's gone, it disappeared
I think I'll take another hit.
I'm gone, I'm lost, I'm beyond my own control
When will this drug let go of it's hold?
Why don't I ever do what I'm told
If I was obediant I wouldn't be here
If I was normal I wouldn't be wiping this tear
Where am I, what have a done?
Sh** my body weighs a ton
I can't stand up
I think this drug has won

When will I learn that this is wrong?
When will I go home to where I belong?
My friends aren't caring.. what is this?
My stomach hurts.. my hands are all red
Why is there blood coming from my head
It's cold out here, I can't feel my toes
There is a bright light... I can't see
I'm weightless
My mind is completely free.
What the he** has happend to me?

What will happen if I die?
Will the people that I care for even take time to cry?
Will they notice I'm gone?
What.... what is going on
This is all beyond what I can fathom.

beautiful + thoughtful text project with the strangers off the street. embodies the impromptu spirit of street photography yet it becomes staged portraiture when the shutter comes down. what kind of camera do you use? i can't believe you're only 16 - you're gonna go a long way kid. definitely keep the ideas + the work coming :*)

Incredible! You are far beyond your years. Keep up the great work, you will go far. I love the street writing series. Do more of that, it's great. You could be the Man Ray of the 21st Century. Apply to an Art school when you choose a college.

For the photo "ashamed"
suffering in the chains of guilt/
hoping for a release from pain/
nourishing the rose that will never wilt/
forever winning a hopeless gain/
either my eyes have stopped moving/
or my world has stood still/
I can't feel my heart beating/
nor do I think I ever will/
