An Amoral Place

image

"My main concern in my paintings is the human condition and the crossroads we face, in particular.

We are complex creatures. We shout "Peace!" with bloody swords thrust in the air. It's a rare thing when we are able to contain our duel nature in a whole. My paintings capture those moments in between when people either throw in the towel or rise above, become self actualized. This in between place before decisions are made.

An amoral place where you're just another animal doing whatever it does for whatever reason that might be."

your stuff is kind of hard to look at, mr. ranson.

i am surprised you got your shock art on a fairly decent art site. do you have to draw such ugly things?!!

Kyle, maybe if you were the center of the universe, like our friend "embarrassed", you'd realize that true rightiousness only comes from little pink bunnies frolicking in the dewy pasture.

I like being human, for the time being. I think, through looking at your art, you feel the same. Really real.

Gee Mr. Ransom, do you really view life like this, and the human form this way? Some remind me of "dirty doodles" from the junior high days. Broken Heart is grotesquely sad. Your protrait is good, but why to you feel the need to smudge over faces? You could be a good artist some day if you stop using your paintings for shock value's sake.

Oh yea, here we go...edenamie's got the secret family recipe for "good
art". Please share, we'd all like to be good placid artists someday...if we only knew the correct formula....
