Cheshire UK-based Steve Smith creates oil paintings that fall somewhere in the realm between realism and pop art; most of girls in candy-colored sunglasses who are blowing kisses, eating fruit, or blowing bubbles, all in a provocative and slick style. His figurative works and portraits all have a tropical feel, as though you were lost in the hedonistic 1970s, watching surfers in Hawaii or bikini clad girls lounging by a pool in Brazil. It is enough to make you crave a Mai Tai.
