Troma Celebrates Releases of Hemo With DVD Signing!

Burbank's Dark Delicacies Bookstore Celebrates Release of HEMO DVD with Lloyd Kaufman Signing at 2pm on December 8th!

Troma Entertainment is pleased to announced that Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger, Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead) will appear at Dark Delicacies book store in Burbank, California, at 2pm on Saturday, December 8th to sign copies of Troma's latest DVD releases Hemo and Mr. Bricks: A Heavy Metal Murder Musical, along with his latest book, Sell Your Own Damn Movie! Kaufman will be joined by goddess and Hemo star Pamela Price, as well as tattooed muscleman Tim Dax, star of Mr. Bricks, along with Toxie and the world-famous Tromettes! Unlike other celebrities, Kaufman and the Troma stars do not charge for their autographs and will sign any Troma merchandise for free.
"Every time Lloyd Kaufman comes by, it's like a self-contained circus!" says Del Howison, co-owner of Dark Delicacies. "As an indie book store, there is no greater delight than having the Troma Team at our store for an event."
Bob Freville's Hemo has nothing at all to do with that silly Twilight series, but is in fact one of the best junkie movies ever made. The masterpiece blend of avante-garde cinema and gritty drama stars Pamela Price as Felicia, who, along with her boyfriend Calvin, is a vampire living in post-Gatsby Long Island. Their method of obtaining their drug of choice is compromised when the local blood bank beefs up security, and they must resort to murder to get their fix.

Mr. Bricks, directed by Travis Campbell, introduces Tim Dax as Mr. Bricks, a petty thug takes who bloody revenge on the corrupt New York City cop who tried to kill him - and stole his girl. Love is murder in this bloody, musical tale of lust, desire, and revenge. "Mr. Bricks is a maniacal metal ride from start to finish, a truly innovative musical that fires on all headbanging cylinders," says Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead. "You MUST see this film!"
In Kaufman's latest book Sell Your Own Damn Movie!, available from Focal Press, he reveals 40 years' worth of film-selling techniques. Chock-full of crucial and handy information, the book contains everything you need to get your finished film seen by festival-goers, movie-goers, DVD-buyers, and web-goers around the world. From the realities of distribution, to utilizing the internet, to self-distribution, Kaufman divulges the secrets to one of the most difficult challenges a filmmakers faces: selling your own damn movie.
